The idea for this project was to create a product line from natural materials that is relevent in the world we live in today.

Neke-ties are a combination of traditional maori techniques  and modern design concepts culminating in a range of designer fashion garments hand made entirely from natural and recycled fibres and materials.

Other items that have developed as a result of this project are the Hei taringa/ Whakakai - Earrings and Honokara- cufflinks lines made from natural and dyed harakeke.

The processes of making these garments ensures that there is no waste with all offcuts being processed into paper.
